Fall is all about FOOTBALL!

In the last two weeks, Campus Outreach hosted both a men’s flag football tournament and a women’s powder puff tournament.  Zach’s last post was all about the Tangle in the Triangle, so I will now fill you in on how powder puff went! The purpose of the tournament was to provide an opportunity to meet students and gather together under a common love: football!  Two or three student leaders led each team, with the rest of the team made up of new students we met in the dorms, classes, etc. The teams got together in the weeks prior to the tournament to practice and decorate uniforms, which provided awesome opportunities to hangout and expose people to a body of believers outside of a church setting. The day of the tournament was absolutely gorgeous. It had rained the two days prior to the tournament, but on the day of, there was nothing but blue skies. Praise the Lord for that! Students from UNC, NC State, Campbell, and Duke attended, and Campbell brought home another victory. Go Camels!

Please pray for good follow-up with students in the weeks to come. We are praying that students that we met while playing in the tournament would want to come to the New Years Conference in Chattanooga, TN this December. Also, please pray for our students as they come back from Thanksgiving break and enter into the stresses of exams. Pray that they would be able to trust God with schoolwork, fight to love the lost well, and finish this semester strong.

Wow. I cannot believe it is almost December. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! Our team is thankful for YOU.

“I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.”  (Philippians 1:3-5)
