In John chapter 12, Jesus addresses a group of Greeks that "wish to see him" by saying, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remain alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there my servant will be also."

Submersed in an atmosphere of radical relativism and postmodern thought, the students at UNC are quick to "respect" the "idea" of following "someone or something" but slow to put their trust in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Many of the students we encounter are on the fast track to worldly success and recognition. They take academics very seriously and most of them long to leave a lasting impact on the world. Sadly, their motivations aren't centered on the glory of God. Our hope is that through life on life relationships and exposure to the Word of God, we would see a number of students radically transformed by the gospel. Our vision is that this number would commit to discipleship, be trained up as leaders and labor to give their lives away for the advancement of the gospel. We're praying for Godly men and women to be raised up that will impact the world for Christ.

What started with a group of 10 or so staff people in 2007, God has multiplied to a body made up of over 50 leaders in just 4 years. Please pray that we would continue to trust and rely on God. Pray that we would treasure jesus above all things. And please pray that the culture of our campus would be transformed by the grace of God. Thank you.
